HOW DO NEUROTECHNOLOGIES AFFECT THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE?
Progress in neurology, cognitive psychology, and neurophysiology today depends on apparatus that combines high measurement precision with the ability to adjust parameters to various research needs. The systems offered by ELMIKO open up new possibilities in the research of brain functions and the optimisation of the brain’s performance, supporting both large research centres and small grant-funded teams.
APPLICATION OF MODERN NEUROTECHNOLOGIES IN SCIENCE
ELMIKO offers a range of modern solutions in the field of research-oriented neurotechnology.
In terms of cerebral bioelectrical recording, the ELMIKO EEG System is based on an advanced EEG amplifier capable of operating on 22 reference channels and 10 bipolar channels, with very low noise levels and the ability to record ultra-low frequencies. Integrated tools for QEEG, CSA, and DSA analysis, along with options for data export and synchronization with other modalities, make the EEG system a versatile research tool.
The tDCS/tACS system enables non-invasive brain stimulation using direct or alternating current. These devices allow for precise current intensity adjustment, automatic impedance control and remote execution of experimental sessions – including in a domestic environment, while maintaining full safety and control.
The TMS system offered by ELMIKO supports modern neuromodulation protocols, such as theta-burst and SAINT. With neuronavigation support, users can precisely localise the stimulated areas, while a wide selection of coils allows the user to customise the parameters to the nature of the project – from clinical trials to cognitive experiments to rehabilitation.
In the field of haemodynamic neuroimaging, ELMIKO offers an fNIRS system that allows the measurement of brain tissue oxygenation and regional perfusion. Integration with EEG and vital sign monitoring systems (SpO₂, HR) enables the establishment of consistent brain activity profiles in developmental, cognitive and clinical studies.
The ELMIKO Neuromonitoring System is also a complementary solution, enabling the simultaneous analysis of EEG trends, saturation, and pulse. The possibility of expanding to a 32-channel EEG and access to parameters such as BSI, TPM and FFT makes this system suitable for continuous brain activity monitoring, neurophysiology, and research on EEG Neurofeedback and brain-computer interfaces (BCI).
Deep Brain Monitoring, also available from ELMIKO, provides the ability to use microelectrodes to examine deep brain structures. This solution is mainly used in preclinical research and functional neurosurgery.
WHAT SETS ELMIKO SOLUTIONS APART FROM THE COMPETITION?
- Modularity and scalability – the possibility of expanding devices without the need to replace the main system (e.g., 3-5 channel aEEG → 32-channel EEG, EEG Neurofeedback → full QEEG),
- Signal quality – exceptionally low noise levels and continuous impedance measurement ensure high data quality even during long-term recordings,
- Multimodal integration – the ability to integrate systems with physiological parameters, video modules, neuronavigation and external stimulation sources,
- Advanced analytics – users have access to extensive analytics tools: 2D/3D mapping, CSA/DSA, BSI, learning graphs (in EEG Neurofeedback) and full control over data.
- Certificates and compliance* – the systems are CE and FDA certified, comply with ISO 13485 and GDPR in terms of data storage and processing,
- Expert support – ELMIKO conducts proprietary training courses through the AKSON educational platform and provides remote and local technical support, which shortens system implementation time and facilitates the execution of grant projects.
